El Retoño is ideally located. It is only a 15 minute walk into Coatepec yet feels as if you are in the wilderness.

Driving Instructions to Lodge

As you enter Coatepec you will bear to the right at the glorietta (follow traffic), that street is Constitution
follow Constitution until you reach Teran, turn right onto Teran.
Go two blocks to Rebolledo, turn right onto Rebolledo
Go straight for quite awhile... the street eventually makes a wide turn to left and becomes Anahuac
Go to the end of Anahuac and when the road ends (and becomes dirt with a horrible trash container by the side) turn right onto the dirt road
Follow this for 1K until you reach El Retoño..there are 2 big wooden green gates, pull into the parking lot and then see how you feel about the gravel path leading into the Lodge.

(As you head out, you can also follow signs on almost every corner to El Truchal Restaurant...we are beyond that!)
